About Jessica

Jessica Boekhoudt RA is the founder and driving force behind Data For Better. With a strong background in both finance and sustainability, Jessica’s career began at one of the Big Four accounting firms, where she gained invaluable experience in the complexities of financial systems and organizational processes. Over time, she developed a deep passion for sustainability, recognizing the need to go beyond traditional financial metrics and integrate environmental and social impact into corporate decision-making.

A much sought-after public speaker and trainer, Jessica is also a lecturer in the Executive Program CSR and Executive Internal Audit programs at Erasmus University, where she teaches professionals from diverse backgrounds to become sustainability data specialists. In addition to her academic contributions, she serves as a juror for the ‘Koning Willem I Plaquette voor Duurzaam Ondernemerschap,’ a prestigious award presented every two years by the King Willem I Foundation to recognize companies that excel in sustainable entrepreneurship.

Jessica founded Data For Better with a clear mission: to bridge the gap between finance and sustainability, helping companies make meaningful, data-driven choices that benefit their bottom line, people, and the planet. Her sharp insights, coupled with a pragmatic approach, ensure that every project delivers real value. Jessica’s leadership is rooted in a belief in collaboration, connection, and lasting impact—qualities that drive Data For Better forward in its mission to transform businesses for a better future.
