About Koen

After years of working as a freelancer within a collective, Koen seized the opportunity to help build The Overview Effect.

His journey toward sustainability has not been linear. Initially uncertain of his direction, he completed a master’s in Business & IT at the Erasmus University. While his peers joined strategy consultancies and tech giants, Koen felt compelled to seek deeper meaning. His concern about climate change – ironically sparked by extensive travels – led him to start his career in the energy transition sector. Over the decade, his focus has broadened to the broad field sustainability is today. At The Overview Effect, Koen’s mission is to mobilize and empower top sustainability professionals for more impact.

About Lena

As a co-founder of The Overview Effect, Lena is committed to creating a workplace where joy, idealism, and optimism are at the heart of driving sustainable change.

With ten years in the field, including founding roles and consulting, Lena advocates for a business model that prioritizes the planet and people over profit. She champions a collaborative approach, encouraging us to rethink competition, assess our real needs, and foster generosity among colleagues to achieve collective success.

About Olivier

Originally from Switzerland, Olivier now calls the Netherlands home, attracted by its innovative approach to sustainability.

As a co-founder of The Overview Effect, he excels in developing sustainable strategies and calculating carbon footprints, leveraging over eight years of experience in sustainability consulting and ESG software implementation. Olivier’s passion for sustainability was sparked early on by his family’s involvement in car sharing and fair trade during the early ’90s. He now leads The Overview Effect’s Young Professionals program, empowering the next generation to drive impactful change.

About Pascalle

As the overarching Brand Manager for both The Overview Effect and Data For Better, Pascalle brings over a decade of experience in creative and strategic roles. Her passion for sustainability fuels her dedication to crafting authentic and impactful brand identities that resonate across industries.

At Data For Better, Pascalle excels in translating complex sustainability concepts into clear and engaging narratives, ensuring that businesses can easily connect with and understand the importance of sustainable decision-making. Her ability to distill intricate topics into accessible content helps bridge the gap between technical expertise and meaningful communication, driving awareness and fostering innovation in both organizations.

About Jessica

Jessica Boekhoudt RA is the founder of Data For Better, a consultancy powered by The Overview Effect, bridging financial performance with sustainable impact. With a background at a Big Four accounting firm, Jessica brings extensive expertise in finance and sustainability assurance, supporting companies in compliance and readiness.

Through her collaboration with The Overview Effect, Jessica helps businesses align financial reporting with sustainability goals and navigate assurance complexities. As a lecturer at Erasmus University, she equips professionals to leverage sustainability data for impactful, responsible decisions, amplifying The Overview Effect’s mission of driving data-driven solutions for a sustainable future.

About Anouk

Anouk’s journey in sustainability has taken her from working in non-for-profit to helping businesses as a sustainability consultant. Both experiences allowed her to gain significant knowledge on human rights and sustainable supply chains. With five years of experience, she developed, among others, the Double Materiality Assessment method for Forvis Mazars, supporting clients across diverse sectors like NGOs, FMCG, and pharmaceuticals.

Her passion for sustainability was ignited during her board year at AIESEC and master’s in Global Business and Sustainability, complemented by research with UN Global Compact. Outside work, Anouk thrives on creativity and staying active—whether surfing, yoga, or gardening.

About Janne

Fueled by a passion for climate justice, Janne combines analytical expertise with a social and optimistic approach to driving sustainable change. In her work, she empowers organizations to develop impactful ESG strategies, achieve CSRD compliance, and translate data into meaningful action—for example through CO₂ analysis or by working on circular concepts.

Her work is grounded in an interdisciplinary academic foundation, blending social sciences with business administration, complemented by specialized expertise in sustainability.

Beyond her professional role, Janne volunteers as an SDG Voice to inspire others toward the Sustainable Development Goals. She loves vegetarian cooking, board sports such as snowboarding, kitesurfing and skateboarding, exploring new experiences and fostering connections. At The Overview Effect, Janne transforms ambition into action, helping organizations embrace sustainability with purpose and impact.

About Jip

With a talent for bringing clarity to complexity, Jip has a gift for translating sustainability ambitions into actionable strategies. Her work spans CO2 calculations at ANWB Retail to Net Positive initiatives at the Johan Cruijff ArenA, always driven by her belief in collaboration for lasting change.

As a certified B-Leader, Jip is passionate about using business as a force for good. Outside work, she’s happiest outdoors or hosting cozy game nights. At The Overview Effect, Jip combines her structured, enthusiastic approach with her passion for nature to make sustainability tangible.

About Mark

Motivated by the urgency of climate action, Mark combines a sharp analytical mind with enthusiasm, positivity and a passion for creating meaningful impact. 

During his master’s in Global Business & Sustainability at Erasmus University, he wrote his thesis on the CSRD adoption of Dutch Financial Institutions and gained hands-on experience in ESG reporting during an internship at ABN AMRO. As an account manager at AIESEC, he honed his skills in problem-solving, building strong client relationships and fostering collaboration. Beyond his professional pursuits, Mark is a sports enthusiast who enjoys football, calisthenics and running, and he is also interested in foreign languages. 

Now part of The Overview Effect’s Young Development Program, Mark is eager to support organizations in reducing their environmental footprint and embracing sustainable transformation.

Driven by a passion for aligning innovation with impact, Pascal’s experience spans continents and industries. As Global Director of Innovation & Sustainability at SHV, he spearheaded transformative projects in Europe and Latin America.

Known for his collaborative spirit and expertise in ESG and digital transformation, Pascal brings bold ideas to life. Now at The Overview Effect, he focuses on empowering businesses to embrace sustainable practices through people-focused digital transformation.
