About the role

As a (Junior) Consultant at Data For Better, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients on their sustainability journeys. Working closely with Jessica, our founder and driving force behind Data For Better, you will help deliver high-quality data management, sustainability reporting, and compliance services. Key Responsibilities

  • Client Support: Assist in developing and implementing sustainability strategies and data management processes for a diverse range of clients.
  • Specialized Support for Accountancy Firms: Provide targeted support to accountancy firms, including audit-related services and sustainability data verification, ensuring they meet relevant frameworks like CSRD and GRI.
  • Training & Development:Help develop and deliver training programs for accountants and professionals in sustainability reporting, fostering best practices and upskilling teams.
  • Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret sustainability and financial data to provide actionable insights.
  • Reporting: Help prepare detailed sustainability reports and ensure compliance with relevant frameworks such as CSRD, EU Taxonomy, and GRI.
  • Research: Conduct research on the latest sustainability trends, regulations, and best practices to support client projects.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Jessica and our partners from The Overview Effect to deliver projects on time and to the highest quality standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in training programs and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of our services and methodologies.

What we are looking for

  • Experience: 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience in sustainability consulting, financial analysis, auditing, or a related field.
    • With 1 year of experience, you will be considered for the Junior Consultant role. With 3 years of experience, you will enter as a Consultant.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Finance, Business Administration, Audit, Environmental Science, or a related discipline. A master’s degree is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficiency in data management and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English.
    • Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., CSRD, GRI, EU Taxonomy).
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a growing team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Attributes:
