Jessica Boekhoudt RA is the visionary behind Data For Better. With a strong background in both finance and sustainability, she began her career at one of the Big Four accounting firms, gaining deep expertise in financial systems and organizational processes. Over time, she transitioned into sustainability, driven by the belief that companies need to go beyond traditional financial metrics and incorporate environmental and social impact into their decision-making.

Jessica is also a lecturer at Erasmus University and serves as a juror for the prestigious ‘Koning Willem I Plaquette voor Duurzaam Ondernemerschap.’ Her passion lies in bridging the gap between finance and sustainability, empowering companies to make data-driven choices that benefit both business and the planet.

Rutger Jager brings a unique blend of academic and practical expertise to Data For Better, making him an invaluable part of our growing team. With a background in Public Policy & Governance and Environment & Resource Management, Rutger specializes in transition management and sustainability within diverse contexts.

His professional journey includes roles at iChoosr, where he advanced solar energy adoption, and Teia.nl, where he conducted ecological field research on bats and swifts. This combination of strategic insight and hands-on experience equips Rutger to help businesses bridge the gap between compliance and innovation.

Passionate about empowering organizations to integrate sustainability into their operations, Rutger is dedicated to guiding companies toward meaningful, data-driven change. When not driving impact, he enjoys cycling, playing guitar, and exploring history.

Driven by a passion for aligning innovation with impact, Pascal’s experience spans continents and industries. As Global Director of Innovation & Sustainability at SHV, he spearheaded transformative projects in Europe and Latin America.

Known for his collaborative spirit and expertise in ESG and digital transformation, Pascal brings bold ideas to life. Now at The Overview Effect, he focuses on empowering businesses to embrace sustainable practices through people-focused digital transformation.
